The Nitrox Diver course is our most popular speciality scuba diving course, and it’s easy to see why. Scuba diving with Enriched Air gives you more dive time. This means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives.You can typically stay down longer and get back in the water sooner. No wonder many divers choose this as their very first specialty.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN
You will learn how to choose the proper blend of Nitrox for your dive profile, determine maximum depth limits for your Nitrox mixture, analyze your breathing mixture, and plan and safely execute each dive. Your instructor will teach you about the physiology of oxygen and nitrogen; advantages, disadvantages, and risks of nitrox; oxygen toxicity; hazards and precautions of handling oxygen; the concept of Equivalent Air Depth; use of EANx with standard Air Dive Tables; common gas mixing procedures; and more.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum age for participation is 10 years (Junior EANx certification) or 15 years (EANx certification).
- Minimum qualification Open Water
- One Class room lecture
- Two optional dives
