BECOME AN ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER AND TAKE THE NEXT STEP
Advanced open water – opens up more diving possibilities, enhances your skills, and is the next step on the learning ladder if you want to go on to become a dive professional. It’s important to remember though that just because the course says “Advanced” in the title, it doesn’t instantly make you an experienced diver.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN
During the advanced open water certification course, you will be taught more skills that will make you even more comfortable with diving in a variety of environments and a more proficient diver. Your training will go beyond what you have already learned in the basic Open Water Diver course, and you will be exposed to new types of dive sites and environments during your training as well.
At the end of the course, you will be able to confidently dive deeper sites up to 30 meters. You will also learn more ways to use your underwater compass, and have knowledge of the physical effects of deep diving, like the myth-enshrouded nitrogen narcosis, for example.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum age 12 years or older
- Open Water Diver/Junior Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification)
- Total time commitment: 2-3 days
